Most products we use in our daily lives require packaging, which can be further categorized into outer packaging and inner packaging; and the materials used for packaging. Packaging is an important means and approach to enhance product value and strengthen product competitiveness. We often see a wide variety of beautifully designed packaging boxes; don't underestimate them, as each has its own characteristics, differences, and uses. Tinplate boxes, with their long history, are especially loved by consumers.

As some of the common packaging materials in life, do you know what they are? Many people will think of tinplate packaging, but do you know what material tinplate packaging is made of? It is made of a material called tinplate, which is made by electroplating tin on steel plates, followed by a series of processes such as printing, cutting, and stamping. Tinplate is a transliteration; in formal documents, it's not called that. The professional name is electroplated tinplate or tinplate.

Another frequently encountered packaging material is corrugated paper, commonly used are single-wall and double-wall corrugated paper. It is lightweight, has good structural properties, high load-bearing capacity, and is moisture-proof; it can be printed in various colors, but its effect is not as good as single-coated and double-coated paper.

Another one is plastic blister packaging. Blister packaging is a type of transparent material, mainly using PVC, PE, or PET. It can directly replace paper to make boxes, or be combined with paperboard to form shapes. It can be silkscreened or printed, and hot-stamped. It can be machine-printed, but the printed products are more expensive. Small-scale production generally only uses silkscreen printing.

These two materials are often used in combination with tinplate packaging for customized procurement. Tinplate serves as the main outer packaging, and the inside of the tinplate box is paired with blister packaging, which not only protects the product but also enhances its safety and appearance; double-wall corrugated cardboard boxes are used for the transportation packaging of our tinplate boxes, protecting them from damage during transportation.

Another material needed for our tinplate packaging is the OPP bag. OPP bags are stretch-oriented polypropylene, a type of plastic, essentially plastic bags. Before packaging in the outer box, the product is first placed in an OPP bag, making it appear clean and hygienic. It has high transparency and is relatively brittle, and can be printed with various pictures and punched according to needs.
