A commemorative meeting and awards ceremony for International Women's Day was held in Beijing.

The All-China Women's Federation held a commemorative meeting and commendation ceremony for International Women's Day on March 3 in Beijing. State Councilor and President of the All-China Women's Federation Shen Yiqin attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Shen Yiqin extended festival greetings to women from all ethnic groups and walks of life across the country and offered warm congratulations to the advanced collectives and individuals being commended. She pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping has always attached great importance to women's affairs, always caring about women, personally planning and deploying the advancement of women's work, and promoting the all-round progress of women's development. She hoped that women would more deeply understand the decisive significance of the 'two establishes,' enhance the 'four consciousnesses,' strengthen the 'four confidences,' and achieve the 'two safeguards,' unswervingly follow the path of socialist women's development with Chinese characteristics, unswervingly listen to and follow the Party, actively participate in the great practice of Chinese-style modernization, be self-respecting, self-confident, independent, and self-reliant, advocate for advancement, learn from the advanced, and strive to be advanced, make contributions in promoting high-quality development, play a unique role in family education and family style construction, win a brilliant life through tenacious struggle, compose a more splendid chapter for 'half the sky,' and contribute women's wisdom and strength to the great cause of national rejuvenation with practical actions and achievements.

The meeting commended 10 national March 8th Red Banner pacesetters, 300 national March 8th Red Banner holders, and 200 national March 8th Red Banner collectives.
